Google has made their next smartphone, namely the Pixel 7 Series. It was first previewed in May 2022 and officially announced on October 6, 2022, during the Made by Google Event.

Since then, people are allowed to make a pre-order. These smartphones will be available in 17 countries on 13th October. Here’s what you need to know about the Pixel 7 Pro according to the Google Pixel 7 Pro user manual.


The Pixel 7 Pro materials are aluminum frames with a glass back. It is also reinforced with IP68 water and dust resistance. Meaning that the Pixel 7 Pro phone can survive up to 1.5 meters of water for 30 minutes. 

The camera bar is also made of aluminum. Pixel 7 Pro phones will be available in 3 colors; Obsidian, Hazel, and Snow. Just like the Pixel 6 series, the Pixel 7 Pro will have a centered hole-punch display notch.


The Pixel 7 Pro has a 6.7″ screen or equal to 170 mm. It is QHD+ 1440p LTPO OLED. The display is at 512 PPI with a resolution of 1440 × 3120 pixels and a ratio of 5:9. The refresh rate of the display screen in Pixel 7 Pro phone is 120 Hz. 

As for the camera, according to the Google Pixel 7 Pro User manual, the phone has a 50 MP wide rear camera, 12 MP ultrawide rear camera, and 48 MP telephoto rear camera. The front camera is a 10.8 MP ultrawide lens and is the main power of the facial recognition system.

The battery power of the Pixel 7 Pro is 5000 mAh. The phone will support fast charging, wireless charging, and reverse wireless charging. 

For storage, Pixel 7 Pro offers 128 GB and 256 GB with 12 GB RAM. For additional features, this phone will have a fingerprint scanner, stereo speakers, and Gorilla Glass Victus.


The Pixel 7 Pro will use Android 13 with at least three years of major OS upgrades and five years of security updates. 

The cameras will also include guided frame, cinematic blur, photo unblur, and macro photography for the telephoto lens. And since Snapchat and TikTok are partnering with Google, the phone will also support 10-bit HDR video.

With stellar specifications, the Pixel 7 Pro is already attracting people’s attention. It is very advanced from the latest Pixel series. 

Between the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro, the difference might not be too much in terms of specification according to the Google Pixel 7 Pro user manual, but it’s definitely worth getting a Pixel 7 Pro phone.
